My daily routine at SeAMK
Good morning everyone!
It is currently 8:30 am in the morning and I spontaneously decided to write a blog about my daily routine at SeAMK. Today, I woke up at 6, had breakfast and then went to gym. I personally love going to the gym so early, simply because by this time the gym is empty and I have it all by myself.
My daily routine at SeAMK is not the same every single day. This is not possible due to the fact that my schedule changes weekly and I am kind of a spontaneous but still organised and planned person. So let me tell you about my day. As I already mentioned at the beginning I woke up at 6 am. After waking up I had breakfast and then I went to the gym at 7 am. I excercised for an hour and went back home. Right now I am using 2 hours 30 minutes to work as a student ambassador. This means I will be done working at 11 am. Furthermore, I will attend classes today at 12:15 am till 4 pm. Afterwards I will come home and get ready for the Christmas Party for exchange students which starts at 6 pm. This is my day.
On a normal basis I always try to include the gym and the sauna into my day. The sauna only opens from Wednesday to Sunday. Most of the time I go to the sauna in the evening on Fridays and Saturdays. I visit the gym either in the morning (just like today) or late in the evening at 8 pm (the gym closes at 9:30 pm). Besides the gym and the sauna, I attend classes and I love being at home studying or just relaxing. I am really outgoing too, so sometimes I go out with my friends too.
My daily routine in Seinäjoki compared to my daily routine in Germany is really relaxed. In Germany I have a lot going on. I play soccer which entails regular training and we train 2 x a week and have our matches on Sundays. Besides soccer I go to Uni and I can tell that Uni in Germany compared to Uni in Finland is really hard. In Germany one always needs to stay on track in order not to get stressed at the end of the semester before the exams. So in Germany most of the time I spend my time being in Uni studying in the library or studying at home. It is vital to me to spend time with my family and friends. So I always try to meet my friends and be there for my family too. Next to my studies I used to work as student assistant. I realised that adding work to my tight schedule at Uni is a lot and I quiet after setting my priorities. The mistake I have been doing in Germany is not having time for myself. In Finland I realised how important it is to calm down and have time for myself. Having time for myself is not only good for my mental health but also is it good for my physical health. This is an advice I would give everybody. Take time out of your daily and packed routine just for yourself.
One vital thing I need to mention is: don’t forget to drink lots of water and eat! Staying hydrated is so vital. I have been suffering from constant headaches and the cause of that was my insufficient drinking of water. In Germany I hardly eat due to my fully packed schedule. In Finland I have found my way out. On a regular basis I eat 3 x a day and it helps me a lot. I have some different kind of strength and motivation. I know understand why breakfast is an important meal. Lunch is also important and every evening I eat something little for supper too.
That is how my day is structured on a normal basis. I really try to pay attention to my nutrition and I try my best to start every single day with a fresh and grateful mind!
