Amazing experience as intern in SeAMK Marketing and Communications

Hello everyone,

In this post I want to share with you all about my internship experience in Marketing and Communications team in SeAMK.

My name is Prableen Kour, and I am a student of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. I am studying in degree programme Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business, and I always have had interest in marketing. That was something I wanted to do in my practical training that is part of the study programme.

While I was discussing with my study counselor, that which could be the ideal places for me to do my internship and I told her about my interest in marketing, she suggested me that the marketing and communication team of SeAMK has been looking for interns and I could apply there. I immediately applied for the place. Application process included a short written assignment and a video, and then an interview with the supervisor. That’s how I got my internship place in SeAMK Marketing and Communication. The internship was paid, which is not that common.

My internship started in August 2021. I was very excited for the whole experience, and my task was to update the social media of SeAMK. Work included making posts in Instagram and Facebook and writing articles for SeAMK blogsite. Also helping in organizing events and marketing video shoot. Some of my best experiences during these six months were to learn about the social media. I was so amazed to see that there are so many things you need to keep in mind before posting a picture on the social media. Taking part in the photoshoot and video shoot was a great experience as well.

It was a great opportunity for me to work with amazing SeAMK marketing team, all the members are so professional I learnt so much from all of them. I participated in so many different marketing events like magazine shoots and international webinar series.

All in all it was amazing experience to work and be a part of SeAMK marketing team.
